BIO
ANKUR MALHOTRA is an Emmy-nominated musicologist, entrepreneur and engineer with an MBA from the Wisconsin School of Business. A principal at Aural Grooves (my new music label) and Madison Music Review (producer of Musique Electronique, Willy Street Beats), he is also the co-founder of Amarrass Records (a record label based out of India), a DJ/host on WORT 89.9FM, and a published photographer/videographer. He has served as a Jury Member at WOMEX, is a panelist for the Transglobal World Music Charts, and in 2023 received the 'Trouble Worldwide' Award by globalFEST. His work in the revival of folk music and vinyl culture in India has been featured in the New York Times, NPR, BBC, WPR, Rolling Stone India and more.
